Heather Peace talks Lip Service series 3, new album and moving to Glasgow

stv.tv showbiz presenter Laura Boyd had the pleasure of catching up with Heather Peace at St. Andrews in the Square last week, ahead of her sold-out gig.

Basking in the glorious Glasgow sunshine, hence the shades, she took time out from her busy schedule to give us an update on her musical and acting ventures – she really is one of the busiest women in showbiz.

Unfazed, the gorgeous singer / actress said: “I don’t mind being so busy cause it’s fantastic to have the work. You’ve got to put the work in to get the rewards.”

And Heather is certainly reaping the rewards for her efforts.

Fresh from performing a small tour last year – shows which sold out in minutes, Heather is back, touring the country in larger venues, showcasing her own tracks.

She said: “It’s more a case of it feels great to be doing my own material, it was quite nerve-wracking at first.”

The response to her album, Fairytales, has been fantastic, but it hasn’t all been glitz and glamour for the gorgeous star, as she revealed where she was the day it was released…

Heather is fast becoming an honorary Glaswegian, as she is about to move north to work on Waterloo Road.

Find out how she feels about life in Scotland in the player above.

Glaswegians have been keen to adopt Heather as one of their own, with many anxious to keep her here as long as possible, especially if it would mean another series of Lip Service.

Does Heather have the inside track on the possibility of a third series of the hit lesbian drama?

We’ll let her tell you in the video player above.

Heather also took time to answer a few of her fans’ questions which had been sent in via Twitter – watch her fan Q&A here.

With that, the singer was off to warm up for her Scottish date, much to the delight of the crowds. You can watch her perform Sabotage from Fairytales here. Enjoy.
