Kate Middleton continued to excel in her royal duties last week, at a prestigious luncheon for foreign royals, hosted by the Queen.

The 30-year-old Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband for the Sovereign Monarchs Jubilee Lunch at Windsor Castle.

Held in honour of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, it was one of the most exclusive events Kate, now officially known as Catherine, has attended so far, and is testament to how highly she’s regarded by Her Majesty since marrying into the Royal Family last April.

Looking radiant in a pretty pink pleated dress, the Duchess perfectly worked the room as she mingled with the prestigious guests – an impressive list that included 24 kings and queens, an emperor and empress, a grand duke, a sultan, eight princes and an emir.

It wouldn’t be easy for anyone to attend such a high profile event without feeling a pang of nerves, but if Kate was slightly apprehensive, she certainly didn’t show it.

Laughing and joking with the esteemed guests, the Duchess looked as if she’d been born into the role, rather than someone who had only officially joined the Royals just over one year ago.

Attending the luncheon alongside her husband of just over one year, Prince William, the happy couple were joined by fellow royals including Prince William, and Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The royal party sat down to a British-inspired feast in the stunning St George’s Hall, where they dined on a tartlet of poached egg with English asparagus, followed by noisettes of new-season lamb, finished off with Kent-grown strawberries and vanilla Charlotte, OK! magazine reports.

After the luncheon, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, hosted a dinner for the visitors at Buckingham Palace.
