David Beckham’s H&M underwear collection certainly captured our attention, not to mention the fact it struck a chord with wife Victoria, One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw (take a look).
Now US President Barack Obama is the latest famous face to mention the pants, which can be no bad thing in the advertising stakes.
Becks and the rest of the LA Galaxy Team were invited to the White House yesterday, to celebrate their third Major League Soccer Cup.
President Obama praised the team’s success but had one or two cheeky comments for the British midfielder.
He said: "Last year, at the age of 36, David had his best year in MLS, leading the team with 15 assists. He did it despite fracturing his spine halfway through the season, injuring his hamstring the week before the championship game.
“He is tough. In fact, it is a rare man who can be that tough on the field and also have his own line of underwear. David Beckham is that man."
Becks was seen chuckling under his new moustache – we likey.
First Lady Michelle Obama was also involved, as she hosted the "Let's Move!" soccer event with students from across the country and the LA Galaxy champs.
And of course, when she invited the children to ask questions to the soccer stars, there was only one man they wanted to chat to - Mr. Beckham.
One very eloquent young chap said: “David Beckham: what did it take to become the man that you are today?"
David said: "I think the president's got some competition. It took a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication because when we were all your age, which for myself was quite a few years ago, I wanted to enjoy myself playing soccer. I loved playing soccer. It was something that I also wanted to do and be a soccer player. So there was a lot of hard work involved, but I wanted to enjoy the sport. I wanted to enjoy doing something like soccer and continue to do it. So, I was very lucky throughout my career. I stayed dedicated. I had a lot very good people around me, family, friends.
“But it's about hard work, it's about looking after yourself, it's about eating the right things, drinking the right things and working hard. And the enjoyment part is the biggest part, and I still love playing soccer like I did when I was your age. Thank you." Swooooon.
David later took to his Facebook page to thank the President for the special day.
"I had an incredible day with the rest of the LA Galaxy team yesterday when we met the President at the White House. It was a special honour to be recognised for our achievement last year, great for the MLS and it shows the progress the League has made. It's not often you get moments like that in your life but it was a real privilege to meet the President who was warm, engaging and funny. A proud day for me and one of the biggest highlights of my life and career," the handsome star wrote.
