Coronation Street's Tina McIntyre is left fighting for her life after being attacked by Terry Duckworth.
The feisty barmaid (Michelle Keegan) clashes with the shady businessman (Nigel Pivaro) after she finds out he is planning to set fire to his lapdancing bar in an insurance scam.
Tina - who is dating Terry's son, Tommy - and Terry then go for each other but when she falls and knocks her head, he runs away, leaving her lying in a pool of blood.
Terry then tells Tommy (Chris Fountain) Tina was attacked by loan sharks and he must help him get money to keep them from coming back.
Terry returned to Weatherfield earlier this year and has been causing mayhem ever since.
He has a troubled relationship with Tommy after he snatched the lad from his own parents, Jack and Vera Duckworth, in 1993 in order to sell the tot to his maternal grandparents.
Speaking about Terry's return, Chris previously said: ''We've only just found out that Terry's coming back. I'm looking forward to it because it opens up a whole different side to Tommy that no one's ever seen before and I can't wait for that.
''I hope he's not living with me though. He sold me off for a few grand a few years ago.''
