The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have made no secret of the fact they would love to start a family and having just celebrated their first anniversary, the question on everyone’s lips is: when will baby make three?
Throughout Kate’s solo charity ventures, while William was on RAF duty on the Falklands, the delightful Duchess particularly shone when speaking to children.
Youngsters who met the ‘real life princess’ had nothing but praise for how kind she was, while families commented on her warm nature and how she took time out to ensure she chatted to everyone.
Now, Kate and Wills have both showed how good they are with babies, when they met young Hugo Eric Scott Vicary at a London event held in honour of a group of British soldiers who recreated the famous Scott-Amundsen race to the South Pole, last Thursday.
Three-week-old Hugo’s father was one of the trekkers and Kate and William were completely enchanted by the adorable bundle of joy, who was wearing a superman romper suit.
Kate was amazed by how tiny he was and said: “Ohh, he’s so sweet.”
William looked a little nervous as he cradled the beautiful babe, but soon relaxed when he realised he had the magic touch, and Hugo fell asleep in his arms.
The Duke was keen to play down jokes from onlookers that he and his wife were in training for parenthood, but judging by their reaction to the baby, it looks like the royal couple will be perfect parents when a little prince or princess is welcomed into the world.
