Dannii Minogue has special night at One Direction gig

Dannii Minogue hasn’t exactly had the best of times of late.

Fresh from her split with boyfriend of four years Kris Smith, she hit the headlines this week thanks to a less than discreet Mr Simon Cowell…

Putting that behind her, it looks like the Australian star is determined to enjoy herself and used her Cowell contacts to go and see his X Factor success story, One Direction, in concert at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne last night.

A source told The Metro: “Dannii told One Direction she is really proud of them.

“Last time she saw them was on X Factor at the beginning of their journey. So to see them on stage in her hometown with so many screaming fans was a very special moment for her. She loved the gig.”

Cheryl Cole was also on the X Factor panel when Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson took part in the show and she too had nothing but praise for the talented heartthrobs.

In a slight dig at Cowell, she recently Tweeted: “Congratulations! @louis_tomlinson @niallofficial @harry_styles @zaynmalik @real_liam_payne remember who really mentored you when @simoncowell wasn't there LMAO!! #proudofyouboys.”

Harry replied: “@CherylCole thank you! Hope you're well, maybe see you soon .x”
