Jealous One Direction fans scare girl off date with Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik thought he had landed a date in Australia with pretty Anna Crotti.

The receptionist met One Direction when the lads were doing a radio interview at the station she works in in Sydney.

According to The Sun, Harry and Zayn were both quite taken with the stunning brunette and Harry gushed:  “She’s lovely. She’s got beautiful eyes.”

The 20-year-old couldn’t believe her luck when the group got their minder to get her number.

She said: “A security guard came up to me. I thought I was in trouble but he said, ‘The lads want your number’.

“I got a text later saying hello. I asked who it was and it was Zayn.

“We were communicating (via text) throughout the whole day pretty much and he asked if I would like to catch up for drinks.

“I said I was free a bit later.”

Sadly, Anna never got to go on the date as a few jealous One Direction fans got wind of the story and started to give her abuse via a social networking site.

Anna was so shaken by the comments, she said: “By the end of the day, it got a bit too scary. Random girls were abusing me on Facebook.

“Girls were calling the radio station and giving me s**t. Mothers even called me in tears, demanding to know if I knew where One Direction were because their daughters wanted to meet them.

“I didn’t even want to walk home. It was so intense.

“I message Zayn and said, ‘Maybe it’s not a good idea we meet up.’

“It was just a bit too full on.”

It’s not the first time 1D fans have used social networking sites to attack girls linked to the band.

When Caroline Flack was dating Harry Styles last year, the Xtra Factor host received death threats and disgusting comments on Twitter.

She Tweeted: “Hi one direction fans! To clarify. I'm close friends with harry.. He's one of the nicest people I know...I don't deserve death threats. :) x”
