Kate Middleton’s 'magnificent' hair bounces to top of style must-haves When Kate Middleton visited The Brink and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool on Valentine’s Day, it wasn’t just her personality that shone…

Her hair looked bigger and bouncier than ever, leaving women around the world with extreme hair envy.

Speaking on Daybreak after Kate’s successful day of charity visits, Royal correspondent Camilla Tominey said: “goodness me that hair is magnificent. Lustrous, that’s the word.”

But how can you get “lustrous” locks at home?

Never fear: let Yasmin, salon director of the Rainbow Room International, Glasgow, show you how.

Yasmin said that one of the most requested styles in the salon is “the Kate Middleton look” and has been since the duchess wowed the crowds at the Royal Wedding in April last year.

With Kate’s hair looking fuller and glossier than ever, Yasmin advises using “miracle oil” after you have washed your hair, to give it a fantastic shine.

She explained: “Rub it in the palm of your hands then take it through the hair. It just gives hair a really good shine.”

The stylist continued: “Then put your head upside down and blast it with the hairdryer.

“Once dry, take small sections using a wooden round brush – this is great for giving your hair lots of body.

“A Wooden brush gives root lift and what you want to do is dry hair all the way to the bottom, wrap the hair round the wooden brush using the hot heat, then put it on to the cold heat and this will give you the nice wave and curl round the bottom of the hair.

“Build up a shape, give the hair lots of movement.”

To add that touch of princess perfection to your hair, Yasmin advised putting a spot of smoothing cream on your hands and taking it through the hair, “smoothing it down to give more definition.”

The finished look? Tousled, bouncy hair worthy of a royal seal of approval.
