Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and if you've got a hot date we've got the perfect sexy vintage look that'll make you look and feel as glamorous as a movie star.
No7 advisor, Stephanie Gormley, of Boots in Silverburn, shows how to create the look with the help of model Abbie Lawrie.
The first step is to prep your skin for a long lasting look with No7 Airbrush Away, which helps to create a picture perfect look.
Next it’s time for some foundation. A light foundation helps to promote a healthy complexion while giving natural-looking coverage. Finish off with a concealer, translucent powder and bronzer to give your skin a healthy glow.
Your eyelids are now ready to be primed with a product such as Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer, which should be swept across each eyelid. Next, apply natural colour on each eyelid with a slight shimmer, and then apply a deeper shade into the outer crease.
Blend well from each eyelash into the crease of the eye to create a sunken in effect to help make the eyes pop. Line your eyes with a dark brown liner and smudge, then go over the top with black liquid liner. Finish the eyes with a good black lengthening mascara.
The eyebrows should be shaped and defined with a good eyebrow pencil – think of a Marilyn Monroe-style for this look. With light brush strokes, fill your eyebrows in with a slightly darker colour than your hair, giving more definition to your face.
After this use blusher on your cheeks. A cream blusher suchas No7's Vital Brights Cream Blush in Blossoming Pink is ideal. Blend well with your fingertips for a natural colour tone and to ensure there are no strong patches of colour on your cheeks.
The final step is to apply lipstick. Kissable red lips are a must for this look, and there are so many shades to choose from that you should go for the one you are most comfortable with, but as a guide, a good shade for this look is 17's Supreme Shine Lipstick in Hot Stuff.
