If you've got a hot date on the cards or a night out with the girls, you'll want to make sure you're looking your best.
Here, No7 advisor, Stephanie Gormley of Boots in Silverburn, Glasgow, shows how to create a really pretty but natural makeup look, that’s easy to copy with the right tools. It's ideal for dinner dates or cosy nights in.
Model Abbie Lawrie has pale skin, so if you have a similar complexion, this look will be perfect for you too.
The first step is to apply a base to your face to prepare the skin, with a product such as No7’s Beautiful Skin BB cream. This gives your skin a beautiful base with a natural look, as it is lighter than most foundations. Use a foundation brush for a flawless finish.
Next dab on some concealer to hide under-eye shadows or other areas of the face that need perfecting, and pat over some translucent powder to secure. Then dust on some bronzing powder on the cheeks, over the nose and blended into the neck. This adds a pretty hint of colour.
The next step is to prime the eyelids, with a product such as Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer. This ensures eyeshadow won’t gather and crease on the lids.
Your eyes are then ready for shadow application, and pink and gold tones are perfect for this look. Use the lighter shade all over the lid, then add the deeper colour into the outer crease of the eye to define it. Be sure to blend well.
Next, line your eyes with a brown eyeliner and smudge. This colour is softer than deep black, and is better for this more natural makeup look.
The next step is to the eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil and brush; never skip this step, as the brows frame the face!
Then use a touch of pale gold shadow to highlight the inner corner of the eye, to brighten up eyes and make them appear wider.
After this, brush on a sweep of shimmer blusher, such as 17 Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in pink, which gives a light sheen to the apples of the cheek.
Finish off the look with some mascara to lengthen the lashes, and a slick of lipstick in a pretty pink colour.
No7’s Spring Limited Edition Vital Brights Lipstick in Blooming Pink is a good shade, adding a pop of colour that’ll finish this gorgeous natural look off perfectly.
