Reality TV star Danielle Lloyd has revealed that she “could have died” if medics hadn’t found a blood clot, during a scheduled breast operation.

The star, 28, had been booked in to undergo surgery to remove her current breast implants and replace them with new ones.

But while in surgery, doctors discovered the clot and operated to remove it. The star lost a lot of blood during the surgery, and had to undergo a blood transfusion as a result.

Danielle seems to be on the mend now, and told Twitter followers that she is feeling “much better”.

Charting the terrifying incident on the social networking site, Danielle told her followers what had happened.

Writing on Twitter yesterday (February 9), she said: “Thanks 4 ur support had a scheduled breast op but Dr's found a blood clot & I lost lots of blood so now having a transfusion am in good hand & I will hopefully be home to my family tomorrow scary times love my family so much Xxx [sic].”

Earlier today, the star then went on to defend her decision to have a breast augmentation. She said: “Also people might think am selfish 4 wanting a boob job but if I didn't have an op they wouldn't have found the clot & I could of died [sic]!”

She then added: “I couldn't have the op & my implants removed as it was 2 dangerous so now I have 2 hope I get better 2 have them replaced before my wedding [sic].”

Danielle also thanked “everyone who donates blood” and said that she is feeling “so much better”.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star and model has two children with fiancé, footballer Jamie O'Hara.

This is just the latest health scare the star has endured. Last year Danielle spoke of her fear that her premature son Harry, who was born with a hole in his heart and a lack of oxygen to his brain, would suffer brain damage.

Speaking to Now magazine in September 2011, the star said: "I went to see him in hospital one day to find that he'd pulled his ventilator out and his life support had switched off.

"His breathing was really heavy and there was no oxygen going to his brain and it could've caused brain damage."
