A British crematorium is set to broadcast funerals live on the internet.
Burnley Crematorium in Lancashire is planning to install a big screen and music system to give mourners who are unable to attend a service the chance to pay their respects and watch a friend or love one's funeral on their computer.
A council spokesman told the Lancashire Telegraph: "With the video technology people will be able to register to view a stream of the service from any computer.
'It would mean the proverbial Great Aunt Mabel who emigrated to Australia would be able to view in real time the service for a relative back in Burnley. All they'll need is a password."
