Tulisa Contostavlos is set to lay herself bare – in a manner of speaking – after revealing she will release a tell-all book later this year, which will cover everything from childhood to her rise to fame.

The X Factor judge and N-Dubz singer might be just 23, but she’s lived an incredible life, battling through a tough childhood and difficult relationships to go on to forge a successful music and TV career.

And she hinted the book would be a must-read, saying that she has “lots  to tell".

Tulisa is expected to reveal intimate details about her childhood in north London, growing up looking after her mother who has struggled with mental illness, and making her name in the hip-hop group.

She will no doubt also speak about what it’s like to be a judge on one of the biggest shows in the UK, X Factor - and maybe even what show boss Simon Cowell is really like behind that Mr Nasty exterior…

The book will be out later this year, and Tulisa is also set to release two novels in 2013 and 2014 too, as part of a book deal with publisher Headline. Busy girl!

Deputy publishing director Sarah Emsley revealed a little more about the autobiography. She said: "Tulisa is an incredibly talented writer and musician and, as her mentoring of Little Mix on this year's X Factor has shown, she is an inspiration for young women everywhere.

"Aged only 23, she has battled through a tough childhood and difficult personal relationships whilst acting as the sole carer for her mother, to become an incredibly successful recording artist.

"Despite leaving school without sitting her GCSEs, she now has a string of Mobo awards to her name, plus three platinum-selling albums and a Mind-award winning documentary.

"On top of all of this, she has won her very first X Factor, mentoring Little Mix into the top slot as the first ever girl group to win the series.

"Tulisa's story has incredible breadth and depth for someone so young, and we are absolutely thrilled that she has chosen Headline to be her publisher.”
