Move over Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger: there’s a new romance sending hearts-a-flutter at Hogwarts.
Pippa Middleton is said to be dating her former university flatmate George Percy, the Earl who helped her get over her split from Alex Loudon last year.
Earl Percy and Pip have spent fun times together at his ancestral home, Alnwick Castle. Homes don’t come more magical than Alnwick – the castle is Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies.
It seems Pippa is following in big sister Kate’s footsteps by finding her own Prince Charming, as George is known as the ‘Prince of the North’ amongst his friends and the lucky 27 year old will one day inherit a fortune of £315million. No wonder he’s cast a spell over Miss M!
A source told The Sun: “George is very smitten and completely in love with her. It looks like the Middleton sisters will be completing the double before too long."
Pippa and George have been friends for years after meeting at Edinburgh University.
They are said to have had brief fling back in 2008 but decided to remain “just good friends” at that point.
When news that Pippa’s romance to broker Alex was over broke in November last year, it was George who was there to pick up the pieces, whisking her away to his castle for a weekend of fabulous food and fun with their close friends.
Romance is thought to have blossomed for the couple at the New Year’s Eve party Pippa threw at her family home.
With the release of her party planning book imminent and a handsome Earl on her arm, 2012 has certainly got off to a good start for Pippa.
