We were getting all excited when rumours started to circulate that Peter Andre and Georgia Salpa were dating - but it seems that the stories are just not true, with the Mysterious Girl singer setting the record straight today.
The pair were first linked together after Pete revealed he’d been glued to this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, and admitted that Georgia “really stood out” for him.
Georgia then responded by saying she’d love to meet the hunk, adding: “Plus I’m Greek and he’s a good Greek man.”
The rumour mill, of course, soon went into overdrive, and gossip mags and website around the country practically had the pair married off.
But it seems there will be no Big Fat Greek Wedding happening here, after Pete cleared up the matter on today’s episode of Lorraine.
Speaking to Scottish host Lorraine Kelly, Pete said: “Do you know…she is incredibly stunning. [The rumours started] because I said to her she was a Greek-Irish beauty, but there’s nothing, we’re just…[friends].”
“But honestly she seems nice but, I mean, I’m still a single man.”
Booo – we think they’d have made a lovely couple.
It looks like a beautiful friendship could still develop between the pair though, with Pete admitting that he had “such a laugh” when he went for lunch with Georgia recently.
Writing in his column for new! magazine, Pete said: “I had the pleasure of meeting Georgia Salpa last week and we had a lovely lunch together with some mutual friends.
“I kept telling her to shut up and give the rest of us a chance to speak, but I was only joking - she’s so quiet!
“She was great though, and I’m sure I’ll bump into her again at some point.”
Hmm, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for the next time this gorgeous pair happen to "bump into" each other...
