Kate Middleton might have boosted the Royal Family’s profile no-end, but it seems that even she can’t help the clan beat the Kardashians when it comes to popularity.
A survey carried out by search engine Ask Jeeves showed that reality TV stars the Kardashians are the most-searched for family in Britain.
The famous clan have had a rather eventful few months which could explain the findings, with socialite Kim announcing her divorce just 72 days after marrying, Khloe moving to Texas with husband Lamar Odom, and Kourntey confirming her second pregnancy.
Poor Kate, Wills and the rest of the Royals didn’t even make it into second place, with the Dahls – author Roald and former supermodel-turned-celebrity cook Sophie – taking the runner-up spot.
The Royal Family meanwhile placed third, while Kate’s own clan, the Middletons, came in just behind the Windsors in fourth place.
With the huge interest in Kate’s little sister Pippa, 28 - sparked following her role as maid of honour at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s April 2011 wedding - we’re not entirely shocked at that result!
Actor Will Smith’s family placed fifth, while the Gerrards – footballer Steven, wife Alex and their three daughters – came sixth.
Also making the list were The Jacksons (Michael Jackson’s family), The Rooneys (footballer Wayne, wife Colleen and son Kai), The Depps (actor Johnny and his clan) and The Apprentice star Lord Sugar and his family.
