New parents Beyonce and Jay-Z have sparked rumours that they’re set to raise baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter in England, after reportedly purchasing a pad in Surrey.
The superstar couple, who became parents on January 9 this year, are said to have splashed the cash on a house in the village of Limpsfield.
Rumours on Twitter have exploded that the couple are now all set to swap bagels and cream cheese for scones and clotted cream, and jet across to the UK to raise little Blue in England.
With their pick of three luxurious pads in the USA though, we’re not totally sure this will be happening just yet…!
Meanwhile it’s emerged that Beyonce has also asked her good friend Oprah Winfrey to act as godmother to her first-born, PA reports.
Bey and hubby Jay-Z - who are thought to have decided against picking family members as godparents - are said to have decided to ask chat show queen Oprah, because they think she’s the “perfect” role model for their bundle of joy.
Oprah was one of couple’s first celebrity friends to rush out and buy Blue Ivy a present after her arrival – a huge set of children’s books to help develop her literacy skills – so she clearly has the little one in her thoughts.
Meanwhile Jay-Z is said to have asked his best friend Tyran "Ty Ty" Smith, to act as godfather.
