Michael Jackson's children took part in a hand and footprint ceremony to pay tribute to their late father in Los Angeles on Thursday (26.01.12).

His three kids - Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and nine-year-old Prince Michael II, better known as 'Blanket' - took part in the memorial ceremony outside Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theater and used one of the King of Pop's iconic sequin gloves and a pair of his dancing shoes to make the imprints.

The children also made marks with their own hands.

Addressing the assembled crowd, Prince said: "This, right here, is his lifetime achievement award. This is what he strived to get, and this is what we are giving him now."

Other members of the Jackson family present for the honour included Michael's mother Katherine - the children's legal guardian - and his brothers Tito and Jackie.

A host of stars were also in attendance to remember the 'Smooth Criminal' singer - who died in June 2009 from Propofol intoxication.

Justin Bieber, Chris Tucker - who appeared with Michael in the video to his 2001 hit 'You Rock My World' - Smokey Robinson and Quincy Jones, who produced the pop superstar's three classic albums 'Off the Wall', 'Thriller' and 'Bad'.

Justin, 17, said: "He meant so much to me. He was more than entertainer; he was an inspiration."
