Stand by your man: David has a few choice words for Madonna!
David Furnish has had a right little go at Madonna, after she beat his civil partner, Elton John, to the Best Original Song award at the Golden Globes.
Madge took the gong for her track Masterpiece, from film W.E., meaning Elton’s track from Gnomeo and Juliet lost out.
Clearly not happy with the result, Mr. Furnish aired his grievances on Facebook.
“Madonna. Best song??? F*** off!!!!
“Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit.
“Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism. And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is.”
Take that Madonna! Elton wasn’t exactly showing the love for the queen of pop either.
According to Heat World, reporters caught up with the 64 year old on the red carpet ahead of the awards and he didn’t fancy Madge’s chances.
Speaking of the Original Song category, he reportedly said: "Mary J [Blige] might win it for The Help. Madonna doesn't have a f***ing chance."
When asked if "those were fighting words,” he replied: "No, those are accurate words."
