We’re feeling rather old in the STV office today, with the news that McFly boys are settling down and planning weddings. It seems like only yesterday they were singing about girls with five colours in their hair.
Fresh from winning Strictly Come Dancing 2011 in spectacular style, Harry Judd has been gushing about his plans to pop the question to girlfriend Izzy Johnston, of classical group Escala.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "I want to keep it as romantic and spontaneous as possible for her.
"We moved in together right at the beginning of Strictly, so you can imagine what that was like! But we are very settled together and we talk about the future a lot.
"I absolutely know 100 percent that in her I have found 'The One', and yes I do want marriage, kids, the whole deal with Izzy.”
Aww don’t you just love romance at Christmas?
Also set to say “I do,” is Harry’s bandmate Dougie Poynter.
2011 didn’t start of well for Dougie and he ended up in rehab after struggling to deal with his split from Saturday’s star Frankie Sandford.
Recently he proved he is back on track, when his cheeky charm (and good looks) saw him crowned winner of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
On exiting the jungle, he spoke of his love for girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones, reportedly telling Star magazine: It’s going great. I think I’m going to marry her. She is a complete one-off.”
Tom Fletcher’s romantic influence has clearly rubbed off on his fellow McFly-guys, as the singer was first to get engaged, when he planted a sparkler on the finger of long-term girlfriend Giovanna Falcone in April.
No pressure Danny Jones…
