Poor Pippa Middleton has reportedly been crying on big sister Duchess Kate’s shoulder over the last fortnight, after finding the strain of being a “royal sister” has finally taken its toll.

The pair are known to be very close, and it seems that Kate, 29, is the first person Pippa turned to when she started to feel like her life was “in limbo”.

Events planner Pippa, known as Pip to friends and family, is often spotted out and about enjoying a good night on the tiles.

But according to reports the 28-year-old has been left feeling unsure of herself after Clarence House officials reportedly decided to “take control” of her social life.

"Pippa says she doesn't know what's expected of her and she feels like her life's in limbo," a source allegedly told Now magazine.

“She confided in Kate she feels controlled and is having an identity crisis. She feels Kate has all the privileges that come with royal life, but she gets all the limitations and responsibilities."

Pippa has hardly been out of the media since shooting to overnight fame after acting as maid of honour at Kate and Prince William’s royal wedding in April.

Dubbed “her Royal Hotness”, Pippa is as admired by men for her looks as she is by woman for her fashion sense, and she soon became known as the nation’s new sweetheart.

But according to the magazine, the pretty brunette is now finding that her "new-found status has also come at a high price."

Pippa recently split from her partner of 18 months, city broker Alex Loudon, reportedly after he became fed up of the media circus that surrounds the events planner everywhere she goes.

A source told the Daily Mail: “The plain truth is Alex adored Pippa but he couldn’t stand the circus that now surrounds her. Nothing is straightforward anymore.”
