Duchess Kate looked every inch the princess at a press reception to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations last night, turning heads as she mingled with the crowds.
The striking 29-year-old was surrounded by fashion journalists at the special event at Buckingham Palace, who only had one question on their lips – where did she get that fabulous green dress from?
The Duchess of Cambridge, often a fan of high street fashion, had opted for designer this time, sporting a £1,400 silk green dress from Mulberry’s latest collection.
The vibrant green pleated shirt-dress, which sports a peace and love motif in the fabric, looked striking against Kate’s skin tone.
The duchess admitted that she was a little nervous at the idea of meeting 350 members of the press at the glitzy bash.
But Kate looked as relaxed and at ease as she always does, mingling with the press alongside the Queen, her husband Prince William and other members of the Royal Family, as well as TV stars including Fearne Cotton and Phillip Schofield.
She also admitted that she was “very proud” of her husband of seven months, William, who had recently returned from a dramatic mission with the RAF, rescuing two shipwrecked soldiers.
