Move over Susan Boyle. Forget Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black. Two little ladies have become the latest YouTube sensation: eight year old Sophia Grace and little cousin Rosie, five.
The adorable English girls shot to fame when a clip of them singing Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass was posted on YouTube in September.
Sophia’s grasp of the rap and powerful voice combined with Rosie’s cute dancing has seen them shoot to over 7,600,000 views on the site. It was only a matter of time before the biggest names in showbiz took note, and first to land the girls for their show was Ellen DeGeneres.
As Sophia and Rosie chatted to the American host, dressed in cute pink tutus and tiaras, Nicki Minaj appeared behind them… and what a reception the star got!Sophia, who oozes confidence, screamed with delight and jumped into her idols arms.
Nicki was equally delighted to see her mini-me as she told Ellen: "She blew me away. Within five seconds of seeing her video, I was calling everyone! I was also receiving a billion emails. Everyone was like, 'you have to see this little girl.'"
There was more joy in store for the youngsters as they got to dress up in Minaj style wigs and perform with the star, while their delighted parents wiped away tears of joy in the audience.
Nicki said: “Seriously we are watching a journey that’s about to be amazing.”
But she had a word of warning for the girls, who are destined to go far: “You are incredible. I just want you to stay in school. Music is beautiful but stay in school ok. Put your books first and singing second.”
We expect Simon Cowell will be calling Sophia’s parents any day now.
