Brad Pitt turned into real-life hero after saving a woman from a terrifying crush during the filming of zombie movie World War Z.
The Hollywood actor saw the extra fall to the ground during chaotic zombie invasion scenes, and quickly swept her to safety away from the stampede.
More than 700 extras had been drafted in for the busy shoot which took place in George Square on Wednesday.
A set insider told The Sun: “It was total chaos as 700 extras were trying to get down the street – they were banging into moving cars, cameras and military who were carrying heavy machine guns.
“Lots of people hurt themselves, and Brad came to the rescue of a woman who slipped. I don’t think she could believe it when Brad picked her up.
“He didn’t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a badly-grazed knee.”
Brad plays the role of UN representative Gerry Lane, who interviews survivors in the wake of a zombie attack.
The star has been busy shooting scenes over the last week round Scotland, and has been spotted enjoying some of the country’s attractions during his time off, along with partner Angelina Jolie and their six children.
