TOWIE stars Lauren Goodger and Mark Wright brought a bit of Essex glitz and glamour to Glasgow last night when the couple attended the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards.
The pair, who are engaged, rocked up in the city for the INNA.com event at the city centre Marriot Hotel, before moving onto the newly re-launched Mansion House venue for an after party where Mark was the guest of honour.
Lauren told The Sun that the trip had been a great opportunity to promote her own business venture, a range of fake tan.
“Because of the show people just think I’m Mark’s fiancée and nothing else. But they won’t film my business interests because it’s product placement. I have my own money and own life away from Mark," she said.
Lauren added: “Skin cancer cases are increasing so it’s safer not to use beds. With my tan you can get the Essex look in Glasgow!”
The star also regularly updated fans with messages on her official Twitter account, including a post that said: “At the scottish beauty awards and I am so proud of @Laurens_Way tan n so happy to be here in scotland xx” [sic].
Reality show The Only Way Is Essex became a surprise overnight hit and even won a BAFTA earlier this year. The show will return for a third series this September.
Lauren will be on tonight’s episode of STV’s lifestyle show The Hour talking about The Only Way is Essex. Check out all the latest from The Hour on the official website.
