What's in a name? James 'William' and Gillian 'Kate' plan right Royal wedding
The Royal Wedding might be the ‘wedding of the year’ but we want to celebrate our viewers’ own special day in style – why should Kate and Wills hog the limelight?
James William Renwick and Gillian Kate Turkington are following in the footsteps of their namesakes Prince William and Kate Middleton by tying the knot this summer.
The pair, who met at secondary school, are busy preparing for their big day at the Glynhill Hotel in Renfrew on June 17.
James, a support worker, proposed to Gillian in St Andrews - where Wills and Kate met - after four and a half years together.
Gillian says that the comparisons between her and the soon-to-be Princess Kate end there.
Gillian, a dentist, said: "I feel sorry for Kate, she is under so much pressure because there are just so many people waiting to see what her dress is like and judge her.
"I would like to hope it's not like that at my wedding but it is easy for me not to care what people think - I won't be splashed all over the papers the next day!"
Gillian will walk down the aisle at Scotstoun Parish Church wearing a By Storm gown.
The new Mr and Mrs Renwick will then jet off to the Cape Verde Islands for their honeymoon.
Good luck guys, we’re sure your day will be just as special as the other William and Kate’s!
