Susan Boyle tells STV: The last two years have changed my life

Turning 50 today, Susan Boyle has spoken to STV at her Blackburn home, telling us her thoughts on her overnight success – and the presents and celeb tributes she’s received for her birthday.

Turning 50 today, Susan Boyle has spoken to STV at her Blackburn home, telling us her thoughts on her overnight success – and the presents and celeb tributes she’s received for her birthday.

Speaking to Grant Lauchlan, the high-spirited Scottish singing legend looked every bit the part in a fetching red dress, and has been happy to pose for photos for the press.

She explained of the day so far: “I have had lots of nice people at the door, lots of nice presents which I thank you all for. Thank you!”

So how would she sum up the last two years? Susan told us: “The last two years have been fantastic.

“They’ve really changed my life and I’d like it to continue.”

Has she heard from her showbiz pals? The singer laughed and replied: “I’ve heard from a couple, but I can’t say here!”

And in terms of presents, she said: “I have had lots of nice spa things you know, pampering things, you know? Make myself beautiful!”

Some of the Wild Horses singer’s celeb friends such as Elaine C Smith, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell are rumoured to be attending the bash but Susan insists she is keeping tight-lipped.
