Turning 50 today, Susan Boyle has spoken to STV at her Blackburn home, telling us her thoughts on her overnight success – and the presents and celeb tributes she’s received for her birthday.
Speaking to Grant Lauchlan, the high-spirited Scottish singing legend looked every bit the part in a fetching red dress, and has been happy to pose for photos for the press.
She explained of the day so far: “I have had lots of nice people at the door, lots of nice presents which I thank you all for. Thank you!”
So how would she sum up the last two years? Susan told us: “The last two years have been fantastic.
“They’ve really changed my life and I’d like it to continue.”
Has she heard from her showbiz pals? The singer laughed and replied: “I’ve heard from a couple, but I can’t say here!”
And in terms of presents, she said: “I have had lots of nice spa things you know, pampering things, you know? Make myself beautiful!”
Some of the Wild Horses singer’s celeb friends such as Elaine C Smith, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell are rumoured to be attending the bash but Susan insists she is keeping tight-lipped.
