One Direction star Harry Styles has admitted that he hopes to win the ‘Villain of the Year’ prize at the NME Awards next month.
Styles is up for the award alongside Prime Minister David Cameron, Skrillex, Azealia Banks, Spector's Fred Macpherson and 'Gangnam Style' performer Psy.
Styles told the Daily Mirror: “I hope I win.
“You've got to take the rough with the smooth but I don't really feel like I've done anything that bad. Should be fun!”
Justin Bieber won the prize in 2012, beating Lady GaGa, Liam Gallagher, Nick Clegg and 2011 winner Cameron.
One Direction have also been nominated in the 'Worst Act' category, and are up against Muse, Mumford & Sons, Alt-J, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran.
The X Factor boyband took the title in 2012, beating Beady Eye, Coldplay, Muse and Viva Brother.
Meanwhile, One Direction have been nominated for ‘British Group’ at next month’s Brit Awards.
At the ceremony the lads will be performing their Comic Relief single One Way or Another.
