X Factor style: recreate Tulisa’s edgy little black dress look

X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has been turning heads on this year’s show, with her bold, daring and confident fashion choices.

The 24-year-old knows exactly how to dress to show off her petite but curvaceous frame to full effect.

If you adore Tulisa’s style and would like to recreate it yourself, check out our guide to nabbing the X Factor lovely’s little black dress style.

First up model Kristina shows off a stretch chiffon love-sleeved prom dress with all-over polka dot effect, from M&Co.

Rather than being in the traditional prom-style structure, the cut is softer and has more of a focus on 1950s Americana.

Perfect for younger ladies, this dress is very similar to the Stephanie Allin gown Tulisa wore on X Factor a few weeks ago.

Teamed up with a gold clutch and black shoes, the overall effect is simple, demure elegance.

The second ‘Tulisa look’ is a Herve Leger black Bandage dress with ivory panels from Cruise. Herve Leger dresses are massively popular with celebrities and have been seen on the likes of Eva Longoria and the Kardashian sisters, so it’s no surprise to see fashion-forward Tulisa also showing off pieces she's snapped up from the fashion house.

This body-con dress is figure hugging and has a short skirt, so is best worn by those with slim figures.

The look is finished off with the addition of a red all-over spiked iPad case by Christian Louboutin, a very on-trend look at the moment.

The third look is a sparkly black mini dress with a green underlay. The dress, from Reiss, boasts geometric lines which give it a hard edge.

Teamed up with a multi-strand bracelet, the overall effect is a strong, power look, softened down with the addition of a cream clutch bag. A pair of slim strap evening stilettos completes the outfit.

And the final Tulisa-inspired look is a beautiful black shift dress with a sweetheart neckline, which has a polka dot finish and sheer panelling and sleeves.

This dress, from Hobbs, is teamed up with an art deco crystal cuff and a small crystal clutch bag, which add a bit of glitz to the look.

All these looks are inspired by Tulisa, but they're also perfect for the party season as we head into Christmas and New Year.
