Putting the pant into panto, actor Craig Chalmers has been aXed from his role in Cinderella after bosses discovered his previous acting credits included appearing in a porn film.

The 30-year-old Scot (no relation to the former rugby International star with the same name) first hit the big time when he appeared on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search for a star for Joseph, Any Dream Will Do, which broadcast on the BBC.

He has since gone on to enjoy a string of stage roles and was about to take to the stage as Prince Charming the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline. But not anymore…

An eagle-eyed member of the public tipped panto producers off about Craig’s X-rated past and he has now been replaced by co-star James Mackenzie.

A spokeswoman for the Alhambra Theatre Trust said: ''In light of information given by an anonymous member of the public, of which we were completely unaware, we can confirm that Craig Chalmers is no longer taking part in the pantomime.''

According to The Sun, Craig, from Edinburgh, appeared in an adult film under the name Ryan Ryder, in which he can be seen taking part in acts that would make even the boldest of panto dames blush!
