X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has started to develop an American accent after spending the summer in Hollywood, says a report.
Pals have noticed that the Geordie lass has started to use a number of phrases and expressions from boyfriend Derek Hough.
Sources told The Sun that the 27-year-old has developed a transatlantic twang.
The insider told the newspaper: "Cheryl has developed a slight American accent while she's been there but it's still a long way off sounding like she's not from Newcastle.
"Derek has been mocking her about a few phrases, and he also does a good impression of her voice now."
Cheryl recently hit the headlines when it was claimed that she has returned to the gym to improve her fitness.
Sources have said that the Girls Aloud singer has been "desperate" to work on her fitness since falling ill with malaria.
An insider claimed that Cole has said that she feels that she is "out of shape".
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Cheryl hasn't been able to exercise in over two months and it's been frustrating the hell out of her.
"Now she's feeling better, she is desperate to start boosting her cardiovascular fitness.
"But the main incentive is the forthcoming photoshoot of her next solo album. Originally put back, it's been rescheduled for a couple of weeks' time, and she wants to be in brilliant shape."
