It seemed certain a relative unknown was going to get the key part, but Emma’s haircut tells a different story and it’s still anyone’s game.
A movie insider told The Sun: "Emma has auditioned with director David Fincher and cut her hair to look the part.
"The character of Lisbeth is a misfit goth-type girl with spikey hair."
Other actresses linked to the part are Ellen Page, Natalie Portman, Carey Mulligan and, of course, Kristen Stewart.
