On the Telephone: Lady Gaga calls up Susan Boyle for duet? Pic: Rex Features
Call the Paparazzi. It has been reported that Lady Gaga has asked Susan Boyle to sing a duet with her on her forthcoming single.
According to Irish Central, sources claim Lady G has convinced Su-Bo to team up on a track that will be released around Christmas time this year.
If true, Susan will join the ranks of Beyonce and Madonna who have previously sung with the Bad Romance star.
Earlier this year, Ms Boyle revealed she was a massive fan of Lady Gaga’s work, telling the Daily Mirror: "I think Lady Gaga is a wonderful artist and completely original and I like her costumes. Love it! Yes, I'd love to do a duet with her, complete with telephone hat too!"
Before the world goes Gaga for the duet, Susan also hopes to fulfil a more holy ambition - to sing for Pope Benedict XVI, who visits Scotland in September.
Susan said: "The Pope is a very special person and singing for him within the Mass, it's not just for him, it's for everybody."
In April church leaders said they were looking to secure Boyle, who would be a "great asset" to the events planned for the pontiff's visit.
A few weeks ago a spokesman for the Catholic Church added: "Negotiations are still under way but we expect Susan Boyle to perform as part of the Papal Mass at Bellahouston Park."
What a way to round off an incredible year for the talented Scot.
