Britain’s Got Talent star Janey Cutler is relishing the challenge of performing in the show’s live tour and called the experience “fantastic”.
The Scottish granny made the finals of the competition after impressing judges and the audience at home with her rendition of the classic hit No Regrets.
Janey, 81, wowed the nation with her powerful voice and wicked sense of humour, and was one of the most popular contestants on the show, so when it was revealed that she might not make the live tour because bosses believed she might be too frail, fans of hers were devastated.
Luckily plucky Janey stepped up to the challenge – and is having the time of her life performing around the country. She told stv.tv: “(the tour) is fantastic, very tiring, but I am really enjoying it a lot. All of the acts are lovely and take care of me.”
Janey and the other finalists including Spellbound, Twist & Pulse and Kieran Gaffney will be coming to Glasgow’s SECC on July 8 and the Edinburgh Playhouse on July 9, following a date at Aberdeen’s AECC.
And Janey can't wait to give something back to those who voted for her in BGT, by giving the performance of her life each night.
She said: “Everyone has been so supportive, it’s been amazing. Friends, family and the public have all been so supportive, it’s overwhelming. I’d like to thank each and every one of them.”
