Party animal: Leona threw a party to celebrate being on tour
She’s not normally known as a party animal, but Leona Lewis decided to let her hair down for once and celebrate being on tour, with a luxury party costing no less than £7,000.
The down-to-earth singer decided to spend the big bucks to mark the fact that she was headlining the 02 venue in London.
She and 20 members of her staff as well as friends and family enjoyed cocktails and champagne in a private VIP area of popular club Mahiki, according to the Daily Star.
An insider told the paper: "Leona likes to have the odd glass of champagne but she's not a massive drinker. But it was the first time she's headlined the O2 and, as London girl, she had all her family and friends out and wanted to celebrate properly."
The former X Factor winner, who has forged a successful singing career following her time on the show, has become a worldwide star and is regularly spotted mingling with other celebrities.
And she did just that at her celebratory party, chatting to Glee actor Matthew Morrison, who plays teacher Will Schuester in the popular show.
Fans of the tongue-in-cheek programme might even get to spot Lewis alongside him soon, with the singer rumoured to be lined up for a cameo on Glee.
