Boyle-ing point: Gerry and John Boyle concerned for sister Susan Pic: STV
Susan Boyle should be having the time of her life right now but recent reports have indicated all is not well in the Boyle family and that Susan is set to sue her brothers over comments they have made about her wellbeing.
Neither Susan, nor Gerry or John have confirmed legal proceedings are in place, but the Boyle brothers have spoken to New Magazine, revealing their concerns for their younger sister and how they feel the family are being pushed out of her life.
Both admit they were thrilled for Susan when she won Britain’s Got Talent and her album went to no1, but they feel they are increasingly being kept away from the star, in part due to their two nieces who are now ‘controlling’ Susan.
Gerry explained: “We don’t want the public to think everything is rosy and the family is happy. Susan’s doing well and we’re proud of her, but we don’t approve of some of the people around her.
“We think our two nieces Kirsty and Joanne are controlling her career. Before Susan was famous, Kirsty and Susan hadn’t seen each other for ten years.”
John added: I feel angry and concerned. She could be so happy, but there’s no happiness.”
BOYLE-ING OVER
Much has been made about the pressure Susan is under and how this is affecting her health.
Gerry commented: “I don’t think she’s got learning difficulties. In my opinion it’s a personality problem. You and I would shrug off disappointment, but it’s a major issue for her.”
When asked if he thought Susan was lonely, Gerry said: “I’m positive she is. She needs support and reassurance.”
Gerry spoke to Susan last week and she told him he shouldn’t be speaking to the press. He told the magazine: “She’s happy, but I think she’s living in fear that someone will take this all away.”
John added that he “won’t stop” contacting Susan until he knows she is content and happy.
