Jesse for the chop?: Sandra Bullock leans on Hugh Grant for advice
The Blind Side Oscar winner Sandra Bullock has turned to an old friend for advice following allegations her hubby Jesse James cheated on her-Hugh Grant.
According to a report in the Sunday Mirror America’s sweetheart has been having long distance phone chats with Hugh over what she should about her five-year marriage to biker Jesse who is alleged to have cheated on her with model Michelle McGee
Bullock moved out of the marital home after McGee claimed that she has been sleeping with James for more than a year. Last weeks she was in hiding and pulled out of the London Premiere of The Blind Side.
In a public statement, motorcycle TV star and West Coast Choppers owner James apologised to his wife, adding: "The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded."
Now as Sandy tries to cope with the fall out during what should be her triumphant moment in the sun it seems gentlemanly Hugh has proved a rock.
The pair became best friends on the set of their 2002 rom com Two Weeks Notice and have remained in touch ever since.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Hugh has been a huge support to her [Sandra]. He’s always thought extremely highly of Sandra and was upset to hear about her troubles.
“Sandra’s shell-shocked by what’s happened- especially so soon after everything seemed so perfect after winning an Oscar for The Blind Side.
“She doesn’t know whether she wants to fight for her marriage or not, but Hugh’s been talking things through with her and he’s been great.
“Sandy and Hugh have a special connection- always have. And Hugh will do everything he can to help her out- he even offered to fly out.”
Asked at the time of Two Weeks Notice whether he could ever fall for his co-star, Hugh, who was recently involved in a bust up with PR Guru Matthew Freud earlier this week, said: Oh god yes, definitely. It would be every easy.”
Whether Hugh has what it takes to be a good marriage counsellor after his troubled relationships with Liz Hurley and Jemima Khan, remains to be seen.
