Twilight star Kirsten Stewart said that she is a “weirdo” because of some of the rituals and routines she goes through when trying to get back into character.
The actress, who plays the role of Bella Swan in the hugely popular movies, was speaking before the second movie in the Twilight series, New Moon, is released on DVD on Monday.
And she admitted that after a break from filming, she does certain things to get herself ready for her part in the movies – with her behaviour something she can find “really embarrassing”.
Speaking to The Sun’s Something for the Weekend supplement, Kristen said: “I watch a lot of television. Every day is different, depending on whether I’m nervous about a scene.
The 19-year-old actress added: “Sometimes I can overcompensate and get really hyper. Sometimes I’m a weirdo who nobody can talk to and that’s really embarrassing. Basically, some days are heavier than others.”
Kristen, who is rumoured to be dating her co-star in the movies, 23-year-old Brit actor Robert Pattinson, also said she finds the filming process difficult, because filming scenes is so disjointed.
She said: “You shot out of sequence so it is not like once you’ve finished the last scene you have taken this journey and completed the story. It is very fragmented. There’s no way to deal with it in the right way. You just have to go home. It is a horrible feeling but that’s the way it is.”
New Moon, which took a phenomenal £26million in the UK box offices, hits shops on Monday. Check out stv.tv’s special section dedicated to New Moon and all things Twilight-related.
