Artist criticised over Hitler costume

A Danish artist has caused outrage for dressing her toddler up as Hitler.

Nina Maria Kleivan has been condemned by outraged Jewish groups after she dressed her one-year-old daughter up as the former Nazi dictator for a photographic exhibition - because she was hoping to explore "the meaning of evil" through her art.

Nina - who made a series of tiny uniforms to depict historic dictators like Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini and Saddam Hussein - claimed she wasn't being deliberately provocative.

She said: "We all have evil within us. Even small children are evil towards each other. Even my daughter could end up ruling Denmark with an iron fist. The possibility is still there. You never know."
