Strictly no way: Sharon and Kelly Osbourne say no to Strictly Come Dancing
Kelly Osbourne and mother Sharon will not be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing 2010, despite reports to the contrary.
Kelly finished an impressive third on US dance show, Dancing With The Stars, but she has taken to Twitter to deny that she will be repeating her experience on the show’s British counterpart.
Following tabloid reports yesterday, Kelly tweeted: "I am not doing Strictly Come Dancing with the UK - I don't know where that came from."
She was previously quoted as saying she would never appear on the show because it has become too focused on "who has the best body" and "being the best".
In July 2009, Kelly sparked speculation that her mum would be taking part on Strictly. She told the Daily Mail: "Not many people know that she used to go to the Italia Conti stage school, and she's a really good dancer. It'd be a really good opportunity for her to show people what she can do."
She added: "People think of her as a tough character, but she's a lovely, happy and fun stage school girl. Mum's in talks about Strictly, but it's not decided yet."
Sharon laid these suggestions to rest by telling New Magazine: "They got it wrong, it was Kelly. No, I would never do it. I can't f**king dance. That show's for young people."
