Mark Owen was the golden boy of Take That but shock revelations about his ‘flings’ have rocked the pop world and dedicated fans, not to mention Mark’s wife Emma.
Now the star has decided enough is enough and has asked his fellow band mates for time out to try and save his marriage.
The Sun reports that he has left studio sessions that are currently going on with Take That and former member Robbie Williams in Box, Wiltshire.
This was supposed to be a happy time for the band who have finally re-united with Robbie and are currently working on new material as a five piece.
A studio worker told the paper: "It's amazing seeing them back together. They've been getting on like a house on fire."
Mark’s confession has come as a disappointing blow but his band mates are helping him work through his demons and although he is not blaming alcohol for his cheating ways, he has come clean about having a drink problem.
Speaking about the Take That boys, he told The Sun: “I'm glad I've told them, so they look after me a bit now. I still have the odd drink but it might have to turn to cold turkey eventually.”
Mark confessed: "When I did my solo stuff I would have a drink but I couldn't do it with Take That. There's too much to do, too much to think about. I always had my professional head on with Take That. But then I would go to the bar and start drinking..."
