Mark Owen’s wife has decided to stand by the star after he admitted to having up to ten affairs in the five years they have been together.
One of those flings, with accounts manager Neva Hanley, 24, is said have lasted almost five years. They are believed to have slept together for the last time just one month before his fairytale wedding to Emma in Cawdor Castle in the Highlands last October.
Emma, who has two children with Mark, is though to have initially told the singer to get out of their home and leave her alone.
But after Mark spending a night at a friend’s and making a grovelling apology, Emma decided to give him another chance.
According to the Daily Record, she told a friend how upset she was to find out that her husband had cheated repeatedly on her.
Emma said: “I’m totally devastated. I couldn’t what I was hearing when he told me. I was shocked. I still am. It really came out of nowhere for me and I felt ill.
“I could leave him now but I’m not going to do that. I love Mark. I’ve thought about it and I am going to try and make this work.”
Emma also said that the fact Mark promised he had been faithful since they wed convinced her their marriage is worth working on. She added: “He said it will never happen again. I believe him when he says he hasn’t cheated on me since we were married.”
Since the revelations came to light, Mark, who used to have a squeaky clean image, has also admitted to a battle with booze. Apart from the long-running affair with Hanley, it is believed that all other liaisons were drunken one-night stands with women while he was on tour.
Former Take That star Robbie Williams is said to be helping Mark to battle his addiction to drink, which he claims took hold after the band split in the 90s.
