Frankie Sandford: joins Cheryl Cole on the market
It’s a sad day for teen music fans. It has been reported that Saturday's star Frankie Sandford and McFly's Dougie Poynter have split up.
The Mirror revealed the young couple have split due to "work commitments".
A source told the paper: "Frankie is so upset. She had moved in with Dougie and she thought their romance was for keeps."
"But she is heartbroken after they split because of both of their work commitments were getting in the way. They are both still friends."
The split comes just a month after Frankie spoke fondly of how she and Dougie had got together. She said: "I met him briefly at a show at G-A-Y, but we'd fancied each other from afar for about five years. When we met, he shook my hand and was really awkward.
"On our first date, the first thing he said was, 'I'm really hungover and sometimes when I'm hungover I go into London and pass out, so I'm just warning you!'
"But we had a really good time - and we ended up being asked to leave the restaurant because they wanted to close. Everyone had packed up around us!"
As well as taking a break from Dougie, Frankie also revealed she is "taking a break" from Twitter.
After rumours circulated romantically linking her with bad-boy Calum Best, Frankie tweeted: "The abuse following untrue stories is just too much to take."
