Hot seat: Kylie will keep Dannii's X Factor seat warm.
Dannii Minogue doesn’t want to be trailing around Britain looking for X Factor talent when she’s heavily pregnant. She’ll go to Australia to have her baby while sister Kylie steps in.
Kylie, who helped Dannii at the boot camp stage of last year’s show is said to be thrilled to help out.
Dannii told the Daily Mirror: “I’ve not quit X Factor and I’d still love to be a part of the live shows further down the line.’
And the rumours are strong that big sister Kylie will keep her seat warm for her while she and partner Kris Smith welcome their child.
Simon Cowell has yet to confirm the choice but the judging and auditions will go ahead as normal.
A source for the show said: “Simon makes his X Factor decisions around April.”
Dannii plans to spend time at home in Melbourne after her baby is born in July, meaning she will miss out on filming the audition stages of this year's X Factor.
The show insider said: “There will be American Idol-style guest judges to fill her vacant seat, one of whom will be Kylie.”
Once Dannii has had her baby she will come back to the show for judging the final stages of the contest.
"And she will be back for the live shows."
Meanwhile, Dannii has told the Metro that the baby will be world traveller.
She said: “I'll be having an international baby. It's really important to me that the baby knows both places really well.
"I have lived half my life here now so the child should see both worlds. Besides, Daddy is from here and with both love it here."
