Lindsay Lohan: I want lesbian lover Sam back

Girls allowed: Lindsay still pining for female lover Sam

Car crash, bi-sexual actress Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she’s still in love with former partner Samantha Ronson and hopes they will be a couple again one day.

The in- and- out of rehab star who has been partying in London, also admitted she still keeps in touch with her former lesbian lover and blames Sam’s relatives for the their split.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun, Mean Girls star Lindsay opened her heart about how she fell for singer and DJ Sam, sister of hitmaker producer Mark Ronson, and the impact their break up had on her.

The former child star, who recently angered Christians by posing like Jesus on the cover of French Magazine Purple. told The Sun: “I never really thought about women before, it kind of just happened with Samantha. It surprised me.

“We’re still in touch. We live in the same apartment building in LA and see each other often. She has always been one of my best friends. If I wasn’t with Samantha I would probably be with a boy next. She’s the only woman I’ve ever been attracted to.”

The star, who described the affair as “passionate”, said she believes the media feeding frenzy that surrounds her life played a major part in driving the couple apart.

“Her [Sam’s] family is very involved in her relationships, “ she said. “I think Samantha was growing as a celebrity and a musician and I think that might have scared her family.

All the fighting stuff was just because all her friends got involved and made me an outcast.

“I think it was a jealousy thing in terms of her becoming more famous than the rest of them. She kind of does what she wants now. It’s changed so who’s to say we won’t be together again.”

After rumours and press reports  began circulating about the couple being an item Lohan opened up about her relationship with Ronson in the December 2008 issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine, declaring: "I think it's pretty obvious who I'm seeing... I think it's no shock to anyone that it's been going on for quite some time... She's a wonderful person and I love her very much.”

Soon after, Lindsay and Sam’s endless tear- filled spats were being played out the front pages on both sides of the pond and the couple split in 2009. But Lohan denies their relationship was as rocky or tempestuous as it appeared.

“A picture can tell a thousand lies, “ she said. “Mostly it was great. Everyone has ups and downs, it’s normal.

“It was a big deal for me because I’ve never had a relationship as public as that, especially with being with a girl for the first time. That was really scary for me. But I didn’t care because I love her.”
