TV star Vernon Kay’s sex text shame

TV presenter Vernon Kay’s family fortunes took a turn for the worse today after reports surfaced that the married father of two has been sending racy texts to a young glamour model.

According the Sun newspaper 35 year-old Vernon admitted sending a string of flirty texts and Twitter messages to 23 year-old page 3 model Rhian Sugden.

The news is sure to devastate Vernon’s wife, Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly who recently gave birth to their second child, eight-month old baby daughter Amber. The couple who married in 2003 have another daughter, Phoebe, aged five.

Vernon, who has made millions from hosting light entertainment family shows such as Mr and Mrs and Family Fortunes and wife Tess are viewed as one of TV’s most glamorous couples.

A source close to the couple told reporters: “Vernon has been sending inappropriate messages to Rhian and it’s come back to bite him on the a***.”

“He’s never had sex with her, but clearly sending a Page 3 girl sexually suggestive messages is not a wise thing to do.

“He feels pretty stupid about sending them to her now and is obviously worried what Tess is going to say.

“She’s just had a second child with him so this is the last thing she’ll want to hear.”

Speaking about how wife Tess is likely to react to the new the source added: “She is not one to hold back on dishing out a rollicking. It’s fair to say this will go down like a lead balloon.”

A spokesman for Kay admitted the star had sent the texts deemed too steamy to be printed in The Sun but denied the pair had at any point “had a physical relationship.”

Page 3 beauty Rhian said last night: I met Vernon in a club in Bolton and we have exchanged a few racy texts.”

Vernon’s contract with ITV is up for renewal and there has been speculation that the presenter who also hosts a show on Radio 1, could replace veteran Strictly host Bruce Forsyth on the show and form a husband-and-wife team with Tess.
