Ashton Kutcher enjoyed learning to be a florist for 'Valentine's Day' - because he got to be a real-life "Cupid".

The 32-year-old actor, who is married to 47-year-old actress Demi Moore, realised what an important role flowers have in the quest for love.

He said: "I had the good fortune of playing a florist in this movie, and one of my best friends is a florist, so I got to work with him.

"What I really learned about that was that these guys are like the real cupids, passing these messages off from one person to the next person. The way that an arrangement shows up can affect a relationship."

Ashton also revealed the set of the new movie - which also features Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway and Julia Roberts - was environmentally friendly.

He said: "We had a green set, so there was a lot of dedication to using solar panels and clean energy, and recycling.

"I think that every opportunity we have in our industry to make what we're doing something more environmentally conscious is a good thing."
