Scottish movie hunk Gerard Butler will be letting it all hang out when he appears as poet Rabbie Burns in a raunchy new movie about Scotland’s national bard.
Speaking to the Sunday Mail director Vadim Jean the man behind Leon The Pig Farmer and One More Kiss in which Butler also starred, said of £5m movie Burns : "Gerard and I are both totally committed to the film. There's plenty of sex and nude scenes in it.
"He [Burns] was a notorious rake of his time. We are not whitewashing Burns by any means. He was a complicated character and to do justice to his story is not a simple thing.”
Scottish stars Brian Cox and John Hannah have also been lined up for the movie, but there has been no decision made as yet who will play the lead female role of Burn’s great love, Jean Armour.
Butler, who is due to begin filming Shakespeare's Coriolanus, with Ralph Fiennes, this spring in Europe. has been the focus of much Hollywood gossip this past week after he presented an award at the Golden Globes with former Friends star Jennifer Aniston.
The couple, who star together in forthcoming flick The Bounty Hunter, have been romantically linked in the past.
Reports at last weekend’s showbiz bash claimed that the couple who were pictured laughing and joking together were seen kissing in the kitchen of the Beverly Hilton Hotel where the awards were held with producers seemingly laughing over their walkie talkies at the couple’s antics.
