Policemen in Japan have started cross-dressing to catch a group of muggers.
The officers have been wearing ladies clothing in a bid to stop a group of bag-snatchers who are targeting women.
The men are reportedly going to work wearing high heels, stockings, wigs, skirts and clutching designer handbags.
To take part in the scheme, male officers must have a black belt in martial arts and be young and slim.
One 26-year-old officer said: "It's cowardly to target women who are weak."
Another has spoken of his terror after he was propositioned by a male driver who asked him if he wanted to go for a drive.
So far, the officers have not caught any offenders.
