I’m A Celebrity: Katie Price’s trial hell continues

It means the mother of three is halfway to breaking the show’s record of 10 trials in one series currently held by ex-supermodel Janice Dickinson

When it was announced she would be facing a fifth consecutive trial, the busty babe appeared unfazed, even aiming a ‘you’ll eat anything' catty sideswipe at Queen of Clean, Kim Woodburn.

Woodburn will partner her in the infamous eating trial, Vile Vending, where contestants have to eat all manner of grisly animal parts.

The glamour girl's muted reaction was in stark contrast to the far more animated Katie viewers watched earlier, when the mother of three was shown battling her way through her fourth consecutive Bush Tucker trial on last night’s programme (Friday Nov 20).

There it seemed she was at breaking point over what it was clear she considers repeated victimisation by the public.

Before attempting the Hell Hole trial Katie, who has been on Bushtucker trial ever since entering the jungle said: “How much more can a person take. Unbelievable. It’s just the same as last time I keep getting voted every day.

“People have seen me do it now. Let someone else have a go.”

The trial  involved Katie climbing a cliff rock face and sticking her hand into six holes: each containing a puzzle and two stars. Inside each hole was a variety of creepy crawlies- spiders, beetles, a lizard, a rat and a snake.

Contemplating the task ahead she told Ant and Dec: "It’s pretty high. I hate heights. I can only do my best.”

She soldiered on, winning nine stars and nine meals in the end - with three making their way to the Exile camp.

Since the camp split in two, rules state that base camp must be fully fed first before any meals are handed over to their poorer neighbours.

Asked by Dec if she felt she was being punished by the public she said: “Probably... because I’m the baddie apparently.

“But I am a good person and I love it in camp because the more I get to know them, the more banter and cheekier I’m getting. I know I’m not a bad person and yet in a way I do feel like I’m being punished.”

As she left she prophetically called out : “See you on the next challenge!”. How right she turned out to be.

Yet despite Katie’s protestations not everyone was sympathetic to her continuing Bush Tucker trials and tribulations.

Former EastEnders actress, Lucy Benjamin, reckoned the pint-sized pin-up was loving all the attention. “That’s what she’s about,” she said. “She’s an exhibitionist. She likes standing there in her little see through knickers and stuff.  She’s alright. She can handle it.”

Queen of Clean, Kim Woodburn, was also of the same opinion, saying: “She [Katie] came in here to get loads of publicity, and by jove she’s getting it. So don’t ask for what you want because you might get it.”

As I remember from last years show Katie did her trials without hesitation. No hyperventilation, no squeeky little voice saying "I'm going to die, I don't want to do this". One sure way to get noticed and she does not have to dodge the paparatzie. Come on Katie you put yourself it there. Get your head down and get stuck in to the trials. Stop moaning and mayby we won't vote for you.

Totally agree with "jo public"! I've watched some of Jordan's trials from her first jungle appearance and there's none of the Diva carry-on. This woman deserves an Oscar for her performances so far. I mean, she was hyper-venitlating and everything, then when she had the 6 stars for Base camp it was "Right, let's get on with this". THAT attitude is the reason she gained so much popularity first time round - and she hasn't changed THAT much in the intervening years!
